the villa chalkboard
I had a chalkboard at my first studio & I would write on it weekly. I was always really quiet & shy when I was younger, but I’ve always had a really rich inner world. I still am really shy, unless I feel really comfortable to open up, then I can't stop talking. I danced my whole youth and that was my way to express — through my body, by feeling myself & the music. This studio helped me break through my shyness & find my voice, by having to be in the public eye and communicate with and do business with people & also make big decisions. Sometimes I would make a decision and it was really painful for me, so I would try to connect to the people by writing them a note on the chalkboard or through the playlists I would make. One time I even painted on the wall. It’s all an art & I like to communicate that way ~ by turning everything into art. It’s how I connect best with people, by expressing my deepest feelings & truths by turning it all into art. Here are a few shots of some of my chalkboard musings. To make living itself an art~
