Sisterhood
I cooked for a group of beautiful women last night on a private vineyard. College sisters, spending the weekend together in wine country. I loved every minute of it ~ the creative rush, the execution, the food coming together, the smells, the stress. I also loved being in their energy and feeling the power of sisterhood bonds and being able to create a beautiful meal for them to indulge in over laughter, love & intimacy. They say that a women’s spiritual journey is about sisterhood & a man’s spiritual journey is about going into the cave ~ the unknown & the darkness of their own soul. Anyways, we started with a simple appetizer platter of cheeses, pickled veggies, artichokes, hummus & olives. The main dish was skirt steak & a brown buttered carrot & cauliflower puree, scallops over a celery root & potato puree… arugula & cherry tomatoes, asparagus & caesar salad with capers. dessert was a lemon curd tart, twix bar and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
