an old love letter

Hello Friends,

I’ve learned over the years that you can’t take it personally. But, while I’ve learned that you can’t take it personally, I have also learned that you have to keep it personal. And so here it is – a personal note from me. 

Villa has been my greatest love, my precious baby – a part of me and created and nurtured by my soul. It has always been personal, in the sense that it literally makes my heart beat and my hands shake. Ignorance is bliss is a real thing and thank god for it, because if anyone told me all that would transpire over the next 9 years when I was opening Villa at age 23, I’m not sure I would have said YES! (So boldly.) I’m so glad I did. Villa is a blessing and I can’t imagine how colorless life would be without Villa in my life.

 I’ve learned a lot while loving and being Villa’s mom. There are things that I’m proud of and things that I’m embarrassed of. There were parts of it that stripped me down and then there were parts that fed me beyond belief. 

 I’ve learned over the years that there is one very important universal truth that outshines all of our own personal truths. That is that we are all made of love and we are all here to love. When we can stand in this universal truth, we are one. Through it all – the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, the successes and the losses – this is what Villa has given me. This one universal truth – that we are all Love.  

Namaste and thank you – That light in me will always recognize that light in every one of you. Thank you for (almost) 9 amazing years…My breath has been taken away and I am so excited to watch Villa grow. You are loved by me!
